Description

Director of Finance

Bodine Electric Company is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead our Accounting and Finance functions. This is a key leadership position responsible for the company's financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, treasury, tax, risk management, and internal controls.

The Director of Finance will work closely with the President/CEO and management team, providing financial insight and recommendations to support business decisions and the company's overall objectives.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and oversee the Accounting Department and day-to-day financial operations.
  • Direct monthly and annual financial reporting and analyze company financial performance.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and prepare financial forecasts.
  • Analyze sales, product costs, profitability, cash flow, working capital, and expenses.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to company leadership.
  • Manage banking, borrowing, treasury, and lender relationships.
  • Oversee tax reporting and compliance.
  • Coordinate the company's risk management and insurance programs.
  • Support financial responsibilities and reporting for the company's international subsidiary.
  • Prepare financial updates and reporting for company leadership, shareholders, and the Board of Directors.
  • Maintain strong accounting procedures, financial controls, and confidentiality of company financial information.


What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous leadership experience within an Accounting or Finance function.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Manufacturing and cost accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems; Epicor Kinetic experience preferred but not required.
