Full Job Description
Position Summary:

Directs and controls financial management and Agency's budget, overseeing all budgeting and regulatory and financial reporting activities. Designs and develops budgetary principles and guidelines to optimize the budget and leads the work of the finance department.

Position Description:

  • Designs effective budget models for departments within the Agency
  • Direct accounting operations including billing, accounts receivables/payables, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition
  • Direct development of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Forecast future budget needs
  • Review the company's budget for compliance with legal regulations; overseeing and managing audit processes
  • Design and implement effective budgeting procedures
  • Direct compliance with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Review contract billing for compliance and accuracy
  • Manage, coach, and develop direct reports to ensure goals and objectives are met
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to understand and assure compliance with funding source contracts
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Demonstrate intermediate to advanced technical knowledge of complex formats and formulas, graphics, tables, pivot table computations, formatting and other Word Processing and Spreadsheets
  • Effectively lead, coach and mentor direct reports to engage, succeed and excel in their tasks and customer service initiatives
  • Gather, collate and classify information according to established methods


Job Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
  • Five years supervisory experience
  • A valid driver's license and current auto insurance
