Job Summary: As Workit Health's Director of Finance & Accounting, you will be responsible for combining technical accounting expertise with strong financial modeling skills. Our ideal candidate is hands-on, thrives in a dynamic work environment, and has a strong background in accounting and finance. This candidate will lead a team to oversee close, audit, tax, A/P, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting while contributing to financial forecasting and analysis.
Core Responsibilities:- Accounting:
- Oversee and contribute to month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and audit compliance across journal entries & reconciliations.
- Lead annual financial audit and semi-annual collateral audit, owning relationships with auditors and managing internal execution.
- Serve as the company's subject-matter expert in accounting, developing policies and procedures to ensure GAAP compliance.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Implement and monitor controls, policies and procedures to mitigate risk.
- Lead and manage accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and providing coaching and career development opportunities.
- Finance:
- Perform monthly variance and trend analyses to interpret financial performance and recommend action.
- Develop presentations of financial performance to leadership.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial modeling.
- Directly manage Senior Accountant; partner with Manager, Finance & Strategy; report to Sr. Vice President of Finance & Strategy
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- Active Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) license required
- 8+ years of related accounting (ideally audit) and finance experience
- Experience owning an end-to-end audit process
- Experience with general ledger systems (e.g. NetSuite)
- 4+ years of management experience
- Proven record owning end-to-end accounting for multiple entities
- Strong and verifiable experience in Excel and Google Sheets
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of US GAAP
- Excellent communication, organization, time management and prioritization skills

Pay range
$130,000-$170,000 USD
