Full Job Description
The Director of Facilities is responsible for leading the planning, management, and optimization of the company's facilities and real estate portfolio, including office, light industrial, and ranching assets. WHAT YOU'LL DO: • Lead and develop a high-performing facilities and real estate team, partnering with business leaders across the organization to ensure facility and real estate needs are effectively identified and addressed. • Collaborate with leadership to understand the company's strategic objectives and ensure the facilities and real estate portfolio supports both current operations and long-term growth initiatives. Develop and maintain a comprehensive Strategic Facilities Master Plan aligned with business goals. • Direct the maintenance, optimization, and long-term sustainability of company facilities through facility condition assessments and facility infrastructure capital plan. • Manage all real estate activities, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, site selection, and contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with company policies, objectives, and industry best practices. • Partner with leadership and key stakeholders to establish and maintain policies, standards, and processes that promote safe, efficient, and effective facilities management. • Oversee facility-related service agreements and vendor contracts to ensure quality service delivery, cost effectiveness, and operational value. • Collaborate to develop timely and accurate budgets, financial reports and financial trend analysis to advise the Executive Management Team. • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Communications to align facilities and real estate strategies with broader business objectives. • Work closely with business leaders to understand operational requirements, identify opportunities for collaboration, and deliver facilities and real estate solutions that support organizational success. • Perform other duties as assigned. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: • B.S. in business required, MBA preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. • 10+ years of practical experience in construction project and facility maintenance management, light industrial operations, and people management. • Strong mechanical aptitudes and working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems • Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly • Excellent trouble shooting and diagnostic skills • Familiar with local building codes and OSHA regulations • Familiar with all current health and safety regulations • Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and/or situations • Must be self-starter who can work well with people at all levels both within and outside the company • Knowledge of MS Office Suite Processing software. • Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Record.
