Full Job Description
As the Director of Facilities Management, you'll oversee construction projects, facility maintenance programs, physical security systems, office space planning, and vendor partnerships while ensuring our buildings remain safe, secure, efficient, and well-maintained. You'll provide leadership to the Facilities team, manage critical operational budgets, and play a key role in supporting organizational growth and employee experience. This position also actively supports and promotes the credit union movement through political advocacy.

What you'll need to be successful:
  • Strategic Facilities & Project Leadership:

Demonstrated experience managing facilities operations, including construction projects, remodels, preventive maintenance programs, building security systems, space planning, and vendor relationships. Proven ability to establish project objectives, manage budgets, mitigate risks, and ensure successful delivery of projects from planning through completion.

  • Facilities Security & Risk Management:

Experience overseeing building access controls, alarm systems, surveillance equipment, and physical security processes. Ability to develop procedures and internal controls that protect employees, members, and organizational assets while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and organizational policies.

  • Team Leadership & Employee Development:

Minimum of three years of management experience with demonstrated success hiring, coaching, mentoring, and developing employees. Ability to establish performance expectations, conduct reviews, foster accountability, and cultivate a positive, service-focused culture that supports professional growth and collaboration.

  • Analytical, Financial & Operational Expertise:

Strong project management, budgeting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate maintenance strategies, negotiate vendor contracts, identify operational improvements, and make sound business decisions in complex and time-sensitive situations. Experience balancing cost, efficiency, safety, and long-term facility stewardship.

  • Experience & Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field, or equivalent experience. Five years of facilities and/or security management experience.

Three to five years of management experience. Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Financial services industry experience preferred. Project planning and proposal development experience preferred.
