Full Job Description
This position is looking for a highly motivated senior leader in Hardware Test Engineering with emphasis in developmental test, rapid development and instrumentation. The right candidate will have a passion for creative, scalable, and effective problem solving. This person will work heavily in support of Anduril's program leadership supporting a broad spectrum to partner in solving hard problems in product development. Anduril is a rapidly growing company, and the right person for this role should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with many competing priorities.

The Hardware Test Operations team at Anduril works across the entire spectrum of products and business lines, as well as all flight operations and test range management. Our team conducts end-to-end testing including new production acceptance testing, sub-component qualification testing and much more. In short, if it involves test, we support it. If you are interested in working in an extremely innovative and fast-paced environment, where your work directly makes an impact and difference in the products that are fielded, this is a fantastic opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Hardware Test Enterprise Support organization-a centralized engineering shared-services team consisting of development testing, test instrumentation, data operations, rapid integration and test, and airworthiness-as you balance resources, schedules, and priorities across all of Anduril's product divisions.
  • Sit at the critical intersection of multiple product business units (air, maritime, land, and counter-UAS divisions) and core engineering teams, translating diverse product-specific validation needs into standardized, scalable test processes and workflows.
  • Support product lines as a critical partner in test architecture development, and collaboration with critical stakeholders on the strategic vision and infrastructure roadmap for test, physical test facilities, environmental labs, and automated test data systems that enable all product divisions to scale rapidly.
  • Lead the enterprise-wide implementation of new testing facilities and capital equipment (including comprehensive RFP processes) and seamlessly onboard newly acquired teams and resources in various vehicle platforms to Anduril's shared testing and airworthiness ecosystem.
  • Partner with hardware vendors, instrumentation providers, and third-party test labs to negotiate enterprise-level agreements, standardizing data acquisition (DAQ) and calibration tools across the entire company.
  • Work with internal software development and data teams to build a unified, enterprise-grade test data platform that ingests, processes, and visualizes multi-domain test telemetry, ensuring design engineers across any division can easily access and utilize their test data.
  • Implement and support business health and productivity reporting to enhance program management, tracking, and reporting capabilities across diverse, cross-divisional major qualification campaigns and test programs.
  • Optimize enterprise test operations and scheduling (MRP-adjacent tracking) to manage lab capacity, coordinate shared test assets, and eliminate scheduling bottlenecks across competing divisional timelines.
  • Develop and drive a comprehensive strategic roadmap for enterprise hardware testing capabilities, proactively building test infrastructure to support Anduril's expansion into new product domains and environments (underwater, surface, land, air, and space).
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to measure the throughput, asset utilization, safety, and operational impact of the Enterprise Support organization on Anduril's product divisions.
Required Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of experience implementing and operating hardware testing, system validation, or multi-disciplinary physical engineering programs, with proven experience leading a centralized, multi-client, or enterprise-level support structure.
  • Extensive experience with physical testing methodologies across a wide array of product domains, with deep technical expertise in structural/environmental testing, instrumentation, systems integration (HIL/SIL), and multi-domain regulatory standards (aviation, maritime, or ground systems).
  • Energy and passion to work at a hyper-growth startup that is aggressively disrupting the defense industry and a firm belief in Anduril's mission.
  • Deep empathy towards your internal customers-the product divisions and design engineers who rely on your infrastructure-strongly held opinions about how to deliver high-velocity testing services, and a strong distaste of "old aerospace" paper-heavy, slow, and siloed testing methodologies.
  • Experience architecting test operations, specialized test labs/facilities, and secure data pipelines for trans-national corporations (understanding data residency, ITAR/EAR compliance, and multi-site secure test range operations).
  • Experience with highly regulated and diverse compliance frameworks (e.g., NAVSEA, MIL-STD-810, MIL-HDBK-516, DO-160, or FAA), with a proven track record of navigating varied governance landscapes to enable rapid cross-domain product deployment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex, multi-domain physical requirements into unified, high-fidelity testing solutions.
  • Superb communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage competing divisional priorities and present technical risk, test readiness, and compliance status to executive leadership and military customers.
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to lead, coach, and scale engineering managers and technical leaders in a matrixed, fast-paced enterprise support environment.
  • Eligible to obtain up to a Top Secret clearance.
