Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Engineering (Technical) to lead our Salisbury electrical safety engineering team. This role involves overseeing the design, development and deployment of innovative solutions that include rubber gloves, sleeves, blankets, line hoses, Arc Flash PPE, grounding and jumpers' portfolios. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background in rubber compound chemistry, exceptional leadership skills and a passion for advancing technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the hardware engineering team, including recruitment, training and performance management.
  • Develop and execute the hardware engineering strategy in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the design, prototyping, testing and validation of hardware products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management and quality assurance to ensure seamless integration of product and process solutions.
  • Drive development projects from concept through to production, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Establish and maintain design standards, processes and best practices for product development.
  • Monitor industry trends, technologies and emerging practices to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff, fostering professional growth and skill development.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical insights on product capabilities and limitations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards in all hardware designs and implementations.
  • Attend and participate in industry ASTM events.
