Full Job Description
ManTech seeks a Director of Engineering to lead strategic business operations, cross-functional execution, and business growth across Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) portfolios. In this role, ManTech seeks a proven leader to drive operational excellence, industrial security compliance, human capital management, and executive-level advisory to achieve long-term growth and mission success for key national security stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions
  • Operational & Strategic Leadership: ManTech seeks a leader to direct end-to-end business operations, strategic planning, and cross-functional program execution supporting DoD and IC mission outcomes. Manage corporate governance, process improvement initiatives, and business systems integration.
  • Business Development & Growth: ManTech seeks a growth-oriented executive to lead capture management and business development strategies across DoD, IC, Special Operations Forces (SOF), DARPA, AFRL, and adjacent federal organizations while cultivating strategic relationships with government stakeholders, industry partners, and prime contractors.
  • Industrial Security & Compliance: ManTech seeks an expert to oversee Facility Clearance (FCL) sponsorship activities, Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) coordination, CMMC readiness, security documentation, and industrial security program development.
  • Workforce & Enterprise Operations: ManTech seeks a manager to direct workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding, contract administration, and vendor management to optimize resource allocation and organizational capability.
  • Executive Advisory & Risk Management: ManTech seeks a trusted advisor to counsel executive leadership on market strategy, operational priorities, risk mitigation, and long-term expansion initiatives.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related technical/management field combined with 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in engineering operations, business development, and program execution within the Defense and Intelligence sectors.
  • Domain Expertise: Demonstrated success driving business development and capture management across DoD, IC, SOF, DARPA, and AFRL stakeholders.
  • Operations & Compliance: Proven track record leading workforce planning, vendor/contract management, DCSA compliance, and industrial security programs (including FCL sponsorship and CMMC readiness).
  • Clearance Requirement: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI).


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Degree: Master's degree in Engineering Management, Business Administration (MBA), or equivalent executive credential.
  • Industry Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or CMMC Registered Practitioner / Certified Assessor credentials.
  • Executive Engagement: Extensive experience delivering strategic briefings and risk analysis directly to C-suite executives, senior military officials, and IC leadership.


The projected compensation range for this position is $153,800.00-$275,800.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
