Full Job Description
Reporting to the Assistant Athletics Director, Athletics Advancement, the Director of Development will manage a portfolio of major and philanthropic gift donors ($25,000+) to raise funds for the strategic priorities of the University of Oklahoma Athletics Department. This role will have a significant and direct role in securing philanthropic support for all Athletics Department priorities, including but not limited to the West Side renovation of Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, known as The Palace Project.

The Director of Development will be responsible for the effective solicitation and procurement of major and philanthropic gifts, including but not limited to facility, program, planned, scholarship and premium seating commitments. This professional works closely with other members of the Athletics Advancement team, OU Foundation colleagues, and Athletics Department leadership to develop and implement fundraising strategies that achieve aggressive fundraising goals and advance OU Athletics' long-term vision.

Position requires up to 25% travel and occasional evening and weekend work. Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and five (5) or more years of experience in fundraising, sales, nonprofit, higher education and/or communications required.
