Full Job Description
As Director of Corporate Accounting, you'll sit at the nerve center of our financial operations - the person whose work directly shapes how leadership sees the business, how investors trust it, and how confidently we move into our next chapter of growth. This isn't a "keep the lights on" role. You'll own the integrity of our financial statements, set the pace on the monthly close, partner closely on quarterly and annual audits, and lead a function that touches every corner of the company - from the precision of payables and receivables to the timeliness of our reporting. When the board maps strategy, when leadership weighs a major investment, when stakeholders evaluate our trajectory, your work is the foundation they stand on.
You'll also be one of the drivers of our move off spreadsheets and onto NetSuite and Blackline - a real chance to modernize how this function runs, not just maintain what's already there. High ownership, high visibility, and real room to make this function your own.
Responsibilities
Financial Close & Consolidation
- Deliver accurate monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, equity rollforward), with clear variance analysis and direct follow-up with business owners

- Automate reporting through NetSuite to retire manual, spreadsheet-based processes

Internal Controls, SOX & Compliance
- Ensure accounting transactions comply with internal controls: invoice approvals, contract signatures, procurement standards, vendor setup

- Partner with Finance and Accounting leadership to resolve technical accounting matters affecting close timeliness, cash management, reconciliations, tax filings, and audits

- Consolidation & Analysis: proven ownership of internal reporting and financial consolidation processes, including flux analysis to explain variances or improper postings
- AP/AR oversight
- Systems Leadership: experience implementing or managing accounting systems from a project-management perspective (NetSuite or comparable, Google Docs, Blackline, Workiva - comparable systems experience welcome if not an exact match)
- U.S. GAAP Depth: strong technical knowledge, particularly consolidations/VIEs/SPEs (ASC 810-10), stock-based compensation (ASC 718), business segments (ASC 280), business acquisitions (ASC 805), and internal-use software (ASC 350-40)
Experience

- Hands-on experience with monthly recurring close activities - adjusting and closing journal entries, closing financial statements
- 7+ years of relevant operational accounting experience
- 5+ years of people leadership experience
