Director of Construction Operations

Position Summary:

The Director of Construction Operations will be responsible for the daily management, coordination and successful completion of Construction projects from Owner ontract, Notice to Proceed through project closeout. This position will autonomously oversee management staff for all active construction projects to ensure overall success for the company, our partners, and our clients. This position will be expected to mentor and manage project managers, project engineers and our general superintendent to ensure projects are completed in accordance with Integrate Construction Partners standards and goals and will report to the President of the company. Projects will be local and out of state, therefore periodic travel will be required for jobsite visits.
  • Play a proactive role in shaping the company's direction, policies, and strategic planning as a member of the management team.
  • Managing and mentoring of project teams through all aspects of construction projects from start to finish, including permitting, mobilization, active construction, final inspections, and closeout.
  • Aid in the development, refinement, and implementation of programs essential to the company's success. This includes safety, quality, continuous learning, and operations programs.
  • Able to meet deadlines on multiple projects under different stages of progress in a positive and productive manner. Support project teams in ensuring progress and facilitating transitions to subsequent steps as needed
  • Keep abreast of construction progress for all projects maintaining safety, quality, schedule, and teamwork.
  • Hold teams accountable for contractual commitments involving scope, cost, and schedule.

  • Participation in the development of the project logistics plan with Project Manager and President.
  • Attend and represent the company in kick-off and coordination meetings providing feedback on cost, constructability, and schedule for the mutual benefit of the project team.
  • Participation in the review of the preliminary construction schedule for field use, and staffing requirements with Project Manager and President.
  • Represent the Company and project teams in a positive manner in all project meetings.
  • Promote the growth and development of Subcontractor, Supplier, Client, and Designer relationships.
  • Confirm the project teams' complete timely closeout of projects as they are finished.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management
  • 15+ years' of commercial construction experience.

Reporting Relationship

President

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position manages all employees in the operations side of our business and is responsible for leadership, performance management and participates in the hiring of the employees within its department.

Work Environment

This job requires approximately 40% office presence and 60% field jobsite presence potentially spread over several states.

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and bend or stand as necessary.

Safety must be top priority as this position operates in potentially hazardous conditions.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Workdays are predominantly Monday-Friday and hours of work vary depending on project size, location, and work deadlines.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area travel and overnight will be expected.
