Full Job Description
Ameresco is seeking a Director of Construction to lead construction execution across its Military Housing Privatization Initiative (MHPI) portfolio. This role owns delivery performance across multiple installations and is responsible for safe, predictable execution; consistent subcontractor performance; strong quality controls; and effective turnover into long-term operations. This is a senior construction execution leadership role operating in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee construction execution across multiple MHPI installations, including work in occupied residential communities.
  • Establish construction execution strategies, mobilization plans, and readiness gates.
  • Own site safety performance and enforce EH&S as well as code compliance.
  • Drive schedule, cost, and quality accountability.
  • Lead subcontractor selection, performance management, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Development on constructability, scope definition, estimating, scheduling, commissioning, and close-out.
  • Manage job cost controls, forecasting, pay applications, documentation, and change management.
  • Drive consistency in execution standards, escalation protocols, and issue resolution practices across the MHPI portfolio.
  • Provide portfolio-level execution reporting and risk visibility to leadership.
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Valid driver's license.


The anticipated base salary range for this role is $161,000-$233,000 (presented in good faith). In addition to base pay, employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, and may be eligible for performance incentives, bonuses, commissions, or equity, depending on the role. Actual pay will depend on factors such as internal equity, skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. This range supports our commitment to pay transparency and compliance with applicable laws. Compensation may vary by work location, including remote arrangements.
