Director of Communications

Are you a strategic communications leader with a passion for crafting compelling stories, inspiring teams, and elevating organizational reputation on a global scale?

We are seeking a Director of Communications to lead and execute a comprehensive global communications strategy that strengthens our brand, supports business growth, and engages customers and employees around the world. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing, you'll have the chance to:

Responsibilities

Global Communications Strategy
  • Develop, implement, and measure a global communications strategy that aligns with business objectives and supports commercial growth.
  • Lead the creation and execution of communication plans for product launches, marketing campaigns, events, thought leadership initiatives, and corporate announcements.
  • Oversee the development of customer success stories, case studies, white papers, technical content, and executive messaging.

Media Relations & Corporate Reputation
  • Lead corporate messaging, media relations, public relations, and reputation management initiatives worldwide.
  • Build strong relationships with media outlets, industry influencers, and key stakeholders to expand brand visibility and positive coverage.
  • Develop and execute crisis communication strategies and messaging.

Employee Engagement & Internal Communications
  • Direct internal communications strategies that reinforce our culture, values, and strategic priorities.
  • Support leadership communications, organizational change initiatives, and executive engagement efforts.
  • Partner closely with leadership teams to strengthen transparency, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.

Social Media Management
  • Lead the company's global social media strategy and ensure content aligns with brand standards and business objectives.
  • Oversee social media platforms, content deployment, and audience engagement initiatives.
  • Leverage social media analytics to continuously improve performance and engagement.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or Media Relations, along with at least 8 years of related experience.
  • Non-degree considered if 12+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
  • Frequent travel (6-20%)
  • Valid Passport

Preferred Qualifications
  • Five years' experience in the Material Handling or a similar capital equipment industry
  • Ten years managing people and five years managing a Marketing Communications department
  • Experience successfully building, coaching, and motivating high-performance teams while holding employees accountable
  • Excellent communicator with ability to influence across all levels and functional areas
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to clearly present recommendations and summarize complex issues
  • International experience
