Canyon Creek Behavioral Health is a 102-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Central Texas town of Temple, Texas. Canyon Creek features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care and intensive outpatient programs. Position Summary

The Director of Clinical Services provides the leadership and strategic planning of the clinical services programs offered at the facility, ensuring programs meet the needs of the community and the facility's performance goals and objectives. Responsibilities include the overall administrative processes and management systems for all clinical services offered at the facility, promotion and maintenance of a therapeutic environment, and development and implementation of a clinical treatment programs.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Follow the therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team for each patient
  • Utilize sound judgment during assessment and observe and documents any changes in a patient's appearance, behavior, or ability to work toward treatment plan goals
  • Communicate changes in patient's condition to the charge nurse

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master's Degree Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, social work, or related mental health field; Minimum of five (5) years' experience in p sychiatric/mental health field . Prefer candidates with a minimum of three (3) years' experience in advanced clinical/management practice .

Experience : Minimum of five (5) years' experience in p sychiatric/mental health field . Prefer candidates with a minimum of three (3) years' experience in advanced clinical/management practice . Three (3) ears of leadership experience required.

Licensure: Appropriate state licensure in mental health. Preference will be given to candidates holding an LCSW licensure or greater.

Additional Requirements: A strong knowledge of TJC , HCFA, OSHA regulations, and patient rights standards and all other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.

Successful completion Handle with Care Training, Service Excellence Training, and CPR certification required. Certifications must be obtained during new hire orientation.
