Director of Clinical Operations

Full time - Days

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Director of Clinical Operations oversees Nursing Administrative Services, including House Supervisors and associated operations, as well as centralized and shared staffing resources that support multiple departments, including but not limited to Float Pool Registered Nurses, Patient Safety Attendants, Nurse Externs, Transporters, and Patient Care Technicians. The position supports hospital throughput and surg planning initiatives; ensures appropriate staffing, productivity, and budget management; develops and implements policies and performance improvement activities; and establishes effective working relationships with patients, physicians, employees, and key stakeholders. As a member of the hospital leadership team, this role contributes to operational excellence, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and the hospital's public image.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (RN) Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Texas or compact license
  • Bachelors Degree In Nursing required, Masters preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in acute or critical care area in hospital environment
  • Previous experience managing House Supervisors preferred
  • 3+years of management in healthcare
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
  • Meditech experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of throughput management and planning required
