About the Job

Build the Management System Behind a Growing Manufacturing Company

Dynamix designs and manufactures industrial mixing systems used across North America and internationally. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a hands-on business and financial leader to help build the systems, reporting, cost controls, and management accountability required for scalable, profitable growth.

This is not a traditional accounting role.

We are seeking a business-minded operator who can partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Operations to make costs visible, decisions clearer, margins more predictable, and managers accountable to budgets, timelines, and results.

What You'll Lead:

  • Business case development, cost-benefit analysis, and decision support.
  • Department budgeting and manager accountability.
  • Job costing and quote-to-actual margin analysis.
  • Engineering and manufacturing cost controls.
  • KPI dashboards, operational reporting, and management review cadence.
  • Revenue, margin, backlog, inventory, and cash-flow forecasting.
  • ERP selection and implementation.
  • Government grant tracking, compliance, and audit readiness.
  • External accountant / CPA coordination and financial reporting oversight.

A Core Part of the Role:

You will help drive a culture where decisions are evaluated not only for technical excellence, but also for:

  • Cost
  • Time
  • Risk
  • Manufacturability
  • Capacity
  • Business value

This role exists to help move cost management and operational accountability away from the CEO and into a structured management system.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Managers own and manage their budgets.
  • Business cases are created before major decisions are made.
  • Engineering and manufacturing costs are measurable and reviewed regularly.
  • Quote-to-actual reporting becomes standard practice.
  • Forecasts become reliable and actionable.
  • ERP requirements are clearly defined and implementation is underway.
  • Cost accountability operates through systems, cadence, and reporting - not CEO intervention.

Who You Are:

  • A practical business operator with strong financial judgment.
  • Experienced in manufacturing, engineered products, industrial equipment, project-based work, job-shop, or configured-to-order environments.
  • Strong in business cases, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting.
  • Comfortable holding managers accountable to budgets, timelines, and operating results.
  • Able to respectfully challenge assumptions and influence Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Operations leaders.
  • Systems-minded, with experience improving workflows, reporting, dashboards, ERP, or operational processes.
  • Strong enough in accounting and financial reporting to manage monthly reporting, controls, and external accountant relationships.
  • Hands-on, direct, low-ego, and comfortable building systems in a growing 20-person company.

Helpful Experience:

  • Business case development and ROI modelling.
  • Management accountability and department budgeting.
  • Job costing, project costing, WIP, inventory, or manufacturing margin analysis.
  • ERP selection or implementation.
  • Workflow analysis and process improvement.
  • Revenue operations, backlog reporting, milestone billing, or margin forecasting.
  • CPA/CMA/CGA or similar accounting depth is helpful, but not the main requirement.

Why Join Dynamix?

This is an opportunity to help shape the next stage of a profitable, cash-funded industrial manufacturer. You will work directly with ownership and play a key role in building the management systems, reporting, cost discipline, and accountability structure that support the company's growth.

This is a CFO-track role for someone who wants to build the operating system of the business - not simply report the numbers after the fact.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume to the link attached and a brief note outlining your experience with:

  • Business case development and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Holding managers accountable to budgets, KPIs, or operating results.
  • Manufacturing, engineering, project costing, or job profitability analysis.
  • ERP, systems, workflow, or reporting improvements.
