Role Description:

Zonda is looking for a passionate Director of Business Development, MortgagePro to evolve and expand our team. Zonda looks for people who can grow, think, dream, and create. The Director of Business Development will be responsible for generating new business with a focus on the MortgagePro platform. Experience within the mortgage, finance, and/or home building industries, along with knowledge of key projects/developments, industry players, and local mortgage and real estate related associations are highly valued but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business selling MortgagePro to lenders, banks, mortgage banks, and other financial institutions throughout the territory
  • Develop and execute on a sales plan for the territory
  • Generate 9 face‐to‐face appointments each week and maintain all meeting & pipeline information in Salesforce.com
  • Generate qualifying leads and drive the full sales cycle from introductory calls to closing deals
  • Schedule and perform in person and web demonstrations
  • Embrace new technology, and posess a strong proficiency with multiple technology platforms (PC, mobile devices, online apps, etc.) 
  • Travel within your territory & industry conventions to grow business and close prospects

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person University or College
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers.
  • Candidates must possess a current and valid driver’s license.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Driving Record/Driving Abstract check prior to start. Driving history must reflect responsible driving behavior and compliance with traffic laws.
  • 4+ years of experience in a related digital/data services business development/outside sales role
  • Experience within the mortgage, finance, and/or home building industries, along with knowledge of key projects/developments, industry players, and local mortgage and real estate related associations are highly valued 
  • Previous experience in a SaaS environment with focus on user acquisition
  • Experience and desire to manage the entire sales process which includes prospecting, needs analysis, and closing; drive to acquire new business will be key

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Success in this role will call for a hunter mentality, a quick learner, independent mindset, and be high energy
  • Strong prospecting, presentation, and closing skills
  • Ability to close business accounts and face frequent resistance and opposition from key decision makers
  • Proficiency using CRM platform is required
  • Ability to learn and develop proficiency in new skills quickly
  • Goal‐oriented sales approach; be able to provide a proven track record of meeting quarterly and annual goals
  • Be able to consult with and close business with multiple decision makers
  • Ability to thrive in an environment that is constantly changing and updating in order to be on the leading edge of technology
  • Ability to travel within defined sales territory

The final salary or hourly rate offered for this role will fall within the range set forth below based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.

Base Compensation: $85,000.00 (Annually)
