We're currently seeking a Director of Business Development to join our collaborative leadership team. The DBD serves as a mentor to the admissions team and plays a key role in developing and growing their staff. This is a great opportunity for a strong leader who has a passion for rehab and is skilled at building and nurturing long-lasting relationships within their local community.
Responsibilities
What a Director of Business Development Does

A Day in the Life
Directors of Business Development lead business development and admissions efforts for hospitals. You will oversee a team of Clinical Liaisons and Admissions Coordinators in developing and nurturing professional relationships with physicians, discharge planners, payers, and other clinicians in acute care hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the team in the field, focusing on relationship-building with hospital leaders.
- Remove obstacles and enhance team training and development.
- Work with hospital directors and CEOs to strategize admissions and streamline processes.
- Develop effective messaging and utilize data to guide best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred).
- Clinical experience as a Registered Nurse or Rehab Therapist (strongly preferred)
- Five or more years of experience in healthcare sales and marketing (inpatient services marketing in the local market is strongly preferred)
- Three or more years of team management experience.
- Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and regulatory standards.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communication skills.
- Proven success in relationship development and training/mentoring of team members
- Ability to work effectively with direct reports and hospital leadership to achieve hospital budgets and positive patient outcomes.
