Job Summary

The Director of Business Development is responsible for leading business development and deal origination efforts for strategic infrastructure projects. This role focuses on identifying, structuring, and securing opportunities in digital infrastructure and related sectors. The Director will drive growth through client engagement, market analysis, and partnership development, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and financial targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for data centers, and other related infrastructure projects. Related infrastructure could include: power supply for the data center, water/wastewater, and/or fiber.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key clients, investors, and partners.
  • Lead negotiations for selling data center sites to customers and building strategic partnerships.
  • Responsible for sourcing, managing, and driving deals to close.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, financial, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and inform strategy.
  • Direct Site Origination team to source sites in target regions in alignment with client strategy.
  • Represent the company at industry events and forums to enhance visibility.
  • Collaborate with Project Finance, Operations, Energy, Legal, and Marketing teams to structure and deliver successful transactions.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members.
  • Establish KPIs and track progress against business development goals.
  • Prepare executive-level reports and presentations for senior leadership.


Management Responsibilities

Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.

Minimum Qualifications
