Overview
Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct the Banquet team including captains, servers, lead houseman, and houseman.
- Manage the staffing, training, and day-to-day activities of the banquets team.
- Walk-through and supervise the daily operations of the Banquet area to ensure compliance.
- Ensure that rooms are setup and service delivery is conducted in accordance with the guest’s expectations and Banquet Event Orders.
- Respond to any task assigned by Senior Leadership Team
- Responsible for collection of payment for banquet events and requisition of daily functions and billing.
- Develop standards of productivity for food & beverage personnel within the department
- Ensure proper departmental and inter-departmental communication is maintained.
- Review all written communication to determine appropriate staffing levels, room/station assignments, buffet décor and enhancements as they relate to banquets and meeting room set-ups.
- Responsible for maintaining a strong guest relationship and ensuring that all meeting specifications are communicated to and executed by all hotel operating departments making for a successful meeting experience for the meeting planner and attendees.
- Calculate and prepare the daily service charges and payroll ensuring accurate, prompt reporting to the Accounting Department.
- Responsible for the appropriate and timely set up of all functions and meetings while maintaining standards of food, beverage, and meeting specifications.
Qualifications
- Experienced with 5 or more years in a quality driven Banquet leadership position preferred.
- Experience in a comparable AAA Four Diamond/Four Star hotel or higher is highly desired.
- Experience with high-end social function, elaborate weddings, and curated meetings preferred.
- High level of organization, creative, and functional thought process with workflow required.
- Excellent command of Word, Excel, PowerPoint required. Payroll Programs preferred.
- Strong customer service orientation and skills.

Salary range: $80,000 - $95,000/yr.
