Full Job Description
Overview

The Director of Allied Health Services provides administrative and operational leadership for adult Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy services at Woods. The Director oversees service delivery, staffing, quality, outcomes, and operational performance and works closely with The Medical Center at Woods and other Woods programs to coordinate clinical services and billing.

The Director also supports the development of new healthcare programs and business lines, including the planning and launch of a Home Health Agency within the Woods System of Care. This includes coordinating the operational, regulatory, staffing, clinical, financial, and infrastructure requirements needed to establish and successfully launch home health services.

The Director provides leadership for academic affiliations and allied health student internship programs and supports collaboration across Woods to ensure services are aligned with the mission and strategic priorities of the System of Care.

Responsibilities

Allied Health Services
  • Provides administrative oversight of adult Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy services.
  • Provides technical assistance and case consultation related to allied health services for children, as needed.
  • Monitors department activity, service levels, quality, outcomes, and operational performance.
  • Participates in admissions committees and leadership meetings for assigned programs.
  • Works collaboratively with clinical and program leaders to recruit, hire, develop, and retain staff.
  • Strategically deploys department assistants and aides to support daily operations.
  • Promotes staff development, training, and use of new technologies and practices.
  • Reviews staff performance and provides feedback and guidance through regular department meetings and supervision.
  • Provides oversight of contracted allied health services and related activities.
  • Works with The Medical Center at Woods to coordinate billable services, prescriptions, documentation, and related processes.
  • Supports accreditation and regulatory requirements related to allied health services.
  • Attends relevant workshops and conferences on behalf of Woods.

Home Health Agency Development
  • Leads the planning and startup of a Home Health Agency within the Woods infrastructure.
  • Coordinates the development of the operational and business plan for home health services.
  • Works with Woods leaders and appropriate internal departments to establish the regulatory, licensing, credentialing, financial, billing, technology, and administrative infrastructure needed to launch the agency.
  • Supports development of home health policies, procedures, clinical standards, documentation, and quality requirements.
  • Assists with identifying and recruiting the leadership and clinical staff needed to launch and operate the agency.
  • Coordinates the development of referral relationships and integration of home health services with Woods programs, The Medical Center at Woods, and other healthcare partners.
  • Supports the implementation of systems for scheduling, documentation, billing, quality management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitors startup milestones and works with leadership to address barriers to launch.
  • Supports the transition of the Home Health Agency from startup to sustainable operations.

Program Development and Collaboration
  • Assists with the development of new programs and business lines, including in-home allied health services through The Medical Center at Woods and Stabler NeuroRehab.
  • Provides leadership for academic affiliations and allied health student internship programs.
  • Works collaboratively across Woods to promote integrated services and identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Supports special projects and other initiatives as assigned.

Salary: Starting at $90000 - depending on experience / education
