Job Description
The Director of Advanced Technologies will report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will lead the operations, performance, and growth of Fenstermaker's Advanced Technologies group. This role oversees the delivery of specialized technology services, including Scanning, Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), Acoustics, Subsidence, and GIS, while supporting both external clients and internal project teams across the organization. The Director of Advanced Technologies is responsible for group strategy, operation performance, financial results, resource planning, team development, and project delivery. Working closely with Business Development, Project Managers, Technical Leaders, and Executive Leadership, this individual ensures innovative technologies are delivered safely, efficiently, and with exceptional quality while supporting the company's long-term growth objectives. The Director of Advanced Technologies will be a champion and leader of our company's core values, while maintaining internal and external customer engagement and satisfaction.
Some responsibilities include:
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Direct day-to-day operations to ensure efficient, consistent, and high-quality service delivery.
- Partner with other division leaders to plan resources, balance workloads, and meet project priorities.
- Drive operational excellence through effective staffing, utilization management, process improvement, and performance metrics.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, profitability, and operational performance.
- Maintain involvement in project management, technical leadership, and client coordination as appropriate.
- Build and strengthen client relationships while supporting business development and strategic growth initiatives.
- Promote quality, risk management, and compliance with company standards and best practices.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree - preferred
- Minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated leadership, operational management, team development, and service delivery experience. A combination of education and experience totaling at least ten (10) years will also be considered.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing operations.
- Demonstrated success in resource planning, financial performance, operational metrics, and continuous process improvement.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
