Job Summary and QualificationsThis position oversees the operations of the Med/Surg units, including Orthopedics, Telemetry, Oncology, Neuroscience and the Nursing Resource team. Plans, directs and coordinates all operational activities for areas of responsibility. Develops policies and procedures as well as the quality improvement programs for areas of responsibility. Develops the capital and operating budgets. Ensures areas of responsibility are appropriately staffed by hiring and retaining competent staff. As a member of Medical Center Arlington's management team makes a significant contribution to the public's perception of the hospital. Performs additional duties as assigned.
What qualifications you will need:- Graduate from an accredited, professional school of nursing.
- BSN required. Master's Degree preferred.
- Current Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
- Minimum 5 or more years of experience in a Med/Surg or related setting required.
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare leadership experience required.
- Additional significant experience in area of specialty is preferred.
