Position SummaryAudubon is seeking a
Director, Metals Market to lead business development and market growth within the metals industry. This position is responsible for identifying new opportunities, developing client relationships, supporting strategic pursuits, and positioning Audubon's engineering, procurement, construction, and project services capabilities with clients in the metals, mining, minerals processing, and heavy industrial sectors.
Tasks and ResponsibilitiesThe Director, Metals Market will:
- Develop and execute Audubon's metals market growth strategy.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with metals and industrial clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, vendors, and industry contacts.
- Monitor market trends, client capital plans, competitor activity, and industry developments.
- Support opportunity planning, capture strategies, proposal development, and client presentations.
- Work with engineering, estimating, construction, procurement, and operations teams to align client needs with Audubon's services.
- Participate in go/no-go decisions and provide input on commercial strategy, scope, pricing, and risk.
- Represent Audubon at client meetings, conferences, trade shows, and industry events.
- Maintain accurate pipeline information, opportunity updates, and business development reports.
- Support leadership with market intelligence, revenue forecasts, and strategic recommendations.
- Promote Audubon's safety culture, quality standards, and commitment to client service.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in the metals, mining, minerals, heavy industrial, engineering, construction, or EPC markets.
- Experience in business development, client management, market leadership, project development, or commercial strategy.
- Strong understanding of EPC, EPCM, engineering, procurement, construction, and project execution services.
- Proven ability to develop client relationships and identify capital project opportunities.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, project visits, and industry events.
Preferred Qualifications- Four-year ABET-accredited engineering degree.
- Professional Engineering license.
- Experience with steel, aluminum, copper, lithium, nickel, rare earths, battery metals, smelting, refining, mineral processing, or related industrial facilities.
- Prior experience working for an EPC firm, engineering company, construction contractor, or owner/operator.
- Existing relationships within the metals or heavy industrial market.
