OVERVIEW

The Director, Integrated Care & Professional Practice provides strategic and operational leadership across a diverse portfolio of integrated clinical services and professional practice areas. The Director is accountable for advancing patient-centred care, quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence-based practice by leading the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of services while fostering collaboration, innovation, and a supportive work environment aligned with Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare's mission, values, and strategic priorities.

ROLE
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for clinical and patient support services, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care across a 24-hour healthcare environment
  • Collaborate with leadership teams, physicians, staff, and internal and external partners to support integrated, patient-centred care across the continuum
  • Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards, policies, procedures, and operational goals aligned with best practices and MAHC's mission and values
  • Oversee departmental operations, including budget management, resource planning, workload analysis, and capital equipment planning to support sustainable services
  • Monitor quality indicators, utilization data, and program performance to identify improvement opportunities and drive evidence-based outcomes
  • Promote a culture of safety by identifying risks, implementing mitigation strategies, and ensuring compliance with professional, regulatory, and accreditation standards
  • Support successful preparation for Accreditation Canada surveys and accreditation requirements through ongoing quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide leadership in workforce planning, recruitment, retention, performance management, coaching, mentoring, and professional development of managers and staff
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among interdisciplinary teams, patients, families, and community partners while promoting innovation and engagement
  • Serve as an ambassador for Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare by advancing organizational priorities, supporting integration initiatives, and leading projects across multiple sites as required


REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors degree in related field required
  • Masters Degree in a related discipline is desired

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Location: Multi-Site, working on site at both the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) located in Bracebridge and Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) located in Huntsville. Applicants must reside within 125km of one of our hospital campuses or be willing to relocate prior to starting.

Hours of Work: Regular hours of work are Monday to Friday from 8 am - 4 pm. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements per the collective agreement.
