We are searching for the best talent for a
Director of Innovation Productivity within the J&J MedTech Surgery R&D team. This role is critical in driving efficiency and acceleration across our R&D processes within a complex matrixed organization. The ideal candidate will utilize advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, to identify and implement innovative solutions for process improvement. This will be a
hybrid position (3 days on-site, 2 remote) based in Raritan, NJ.
You will be responsible for:- Analyze and deconstruct current product development and lifecycle maintenance processes to pinpoint areas for enhanced efficiency and speed.
- Lead cross-functional teams to assess existing workflows, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements.
- Develop and implement strategies leveraging emerging technologies to streamline operations and improve productivity.
- Utilize data analytics and AI tools to drive insights and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Lead initiatives aimed at optimizing processes that impact product development and lifecycle maintenance
- Cultivate a culture of innovation acceleration by sharing best practices and methodologies across the organization.
- Monitor industry trends and advancements in technology to identify potential applications in the R&D landscape.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports to senior leadership on progress, outcomes, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Counsels R&D leader on opportunity spaces
Qualifications / Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree (MBA, MS, etc.) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in process improvement roles, particularly within R&D, supply chain, or program management.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements in a matrixed organization.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in utilizing data analytics and AI technologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work across departments and with various stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively.

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
- Vacation -120 hours per calendar year
- Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado -48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington -56 hours per calendar year
- Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays -13 days per calendar year
- Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
- Parental Leave - 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
- Bereavement Leave - 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
- Caregiver Leave - 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
- Volunteer Leave - 32 hours per calendar year
- Military Spouse Time-Off - 80 hours per calendar year

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :$150,000.00 - $258,750.00
