Full Job Description
Role Description

Form Energy is hiring a Director of Global Supply Chain Planning & Controls to build and lead the function that turns demand into a build. Based at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, West Virginia, this role reports into our VP, Global Supply Chain and owns planning end to end: demand planning, supply and material planning, and the material coordination that keeps our production lines running day to day. You will own and run Form's Sales and Operations Planning process, the forum that connects commercial demand, engineering, and manufacturing into a single build plan, headcount plan, and deployment plan.

Form is in a distinctive moment. We are running new product introduction builds and scaling production at the same time, on the same factory floor, for a battery chemistry with no existing playbook to plan against. This role needs someone who can hold both realities at once: comfortable with the fluid, high-change cadence of NPI, and equally comfortable building the disciplined, throughput-focused systems that scale with production demands.

Relocation assistance is available.

What you'll do:
  • Build and lead Form's Global Supply Chain Planning & Controls organization, spanning demand planning, supply and material planning, and material coordination, based at Form Factory 1.
  • Own and evolve Form's Sales & Operations Planning process, consolidating commercial, engineering, and internal test demand into a single, trusted demand signal and translating it into the build plan, headcount plan, and deployment plan.
  • Own demand planning end to end, aligning stakeholders across Commercial, Engineering, and Manufacturing around what we are building, when, and why.
  • Own supply and material planning strategy, including inventory strategy, MRP/ERP system parameters, master data integrity, and supplier ramp coordination across raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies.
  • Own material coordination and production control at FF1, ensuring materials, work in process, and finished goods flow to support daily execution across both NPI builds and scaling production lines.
  • Build and develop a team of planning and controls leaders across demand, supply/material planning, and material coordination, setting the standard for data-driven decision making and disciplined execution.
  • Deliver clear-to-build status, capacity and constraint analysis, and what-if scenario planning to inform executive decisions on ramp pacing, resource allocation, and risk.
  • Adapt planning cadence and rigor to the environment in front of you, running tight, flexible processes for NPI builds and disciplined, high-throughput processes for scaled production, often in parallel.
  • Partner closely with Global Supply Managers, Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, and Finance to keep planning systems and processes aligned as Form scales from pilot lines to full production volume.

What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Finance, or a related discipline. APICS/CPIM certification is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain planning, production planning, or manufacturing operations, including at least 5 years in a people leadership role building and scaling teams.
  • Demonstrated experience owning planning end to end, demand, supply, material, and production control, ideally spanning both new product introduction and high-volume scaled manufacturing.
  • Deep fluency in MRP/ERP systems, S&OP processes, and discrete manufacturing planning, including bills of material, product lifecycle management, and procure-to-pay processes.
  • A track record of building planning organizations and systems from the ground up in a fast-scaling or novel manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical rigor paired with the executive presence to bring senior leadership along on complex tradeoffs, constraints, and ramp decisions.
  • Willingness to be based onsite at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, West Virginia, with the range to operate comfortably across both NPI and scaled production contexts.

Where you'll work:

This role is based at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV-an easy commute from the city of Pittsburgh, PA. This 550,000-square-foot facility is our hub for high-volume battery production and a leader in the new era of American energy manufacturing. Relocation assistance is available.
