Full Job Description
Leads supply chain operational excellence and digital enablement to standardize best practices and improve execution performance across global teams. Owns a continuous improvement pipeline with disciplined intake, prioritization, delivery, and benefits tracking. Partners with IT / Analytics to simplify processes, automate workflows, and improve execution visibility through consistent metrics and reporting. Builds standard work, SOPs, and performance routines that reduce variability and improve plan-to-execution reliability. Ensures improvements are sustained through training, coaching, and controls. Key Responsibilities Operational Excellence & Standardization • Standardize SOPs, templates, and performance routines, embed standard work and controls across teams • Run CI pipeline (intake, prioritization, delivery, benefits tracking) and ensure sustainment mechanisms are in place • Produce deliverables such as SOP / templates library, CI backlog, benefits tracker, and sustainment / control plans Digital Enablement & Adoption • Partner with IT / Analytics to automate workflows and improve dashboards / visibility aligned to operational needs • Lead training, adoption tracking, and sustainment actions to embed new capabilities into daily routines • Produce deliverables such as dashboard requirements, adoption metrics, training materials, and revised SOPs / standard work Performance Management & Capability Building • Establish KPI routines and escalation paths, ensure metrics drive action and consistent follow-up • Build capability in structured problem solving and continuous improvement practices • Produce deliverables such as KPI packs, tier-cadence agendas, and problem-solving toolkits Required Qualifications • BS+ (Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related) • 12-15 years in supply chain excellence / CI roles scaling standards across teams / sites • Demonstrated track record delivering measurable improvements and sustaining adoption Preferred Qualifications • Lean / Six Sigma certification (or equivalent) with applied results • Familiarity with ERP / APS / WMS / TMS environments and process digitization • Experience in pharmaceutical / biotech or other regulated operations (preferred) Key Competencies • Operational excellence, standard work / SOP governance, and KPI routines, benefits tracking and sustainment controls • Digital enablement partnering (workflow automation, dashboards, reporting), adoption monitoring and corrective action • Change management (impact assessment, stakeholder mapping, communications, training / SOP readiness, adoption measurement) • Structured problem solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement pipeline management • Cross-functional leadership, escalation, and executive-ready performance / risk communication Madrigal's Total Rewards strategy is based on a biotech industry peer group comparator and is inclusive of base pay, bonus and equity. Base salary is determined by several factors including the candidate's qualifications, skills, education, experience, business needs and market demands. As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position, applicable to all candidates, is $194,000 - $237,000 per year. We comply with all applicable minimum wage laws.
