Position Overview

Siemens is expanding its strategic technology presence in Silicon Valley. Reporting to the SVP of Technology Partnerships and Enterprise Strategy, the Director, Global Strategic Partnership - Microsoft will own and advance Siemens' global relationship with Microsoft.

This leader will define the partnership strategy and translate it into tangible outcomes across artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, industrial edge, data platforms, cybersecurity, digital twins, enterprise software, developer technologies, and the digital workplace.

Working across Siemens' businesses, regions, and corporate functions, the Director will identify opportunities where Siemens and Microsoft can innovate, build, and grow together. The role will connect Microsoft's technology platforms and global ecosystem with Siemens' strategic priorities-turning shared ambitions into integrated solutions, commercial opportunities, and long-term competitive advantage.

Success will be measured by measurable business impact, accelerated innovation, effective cross-company execution, and sustainable growth resulting from the partnership.
You'll Make an Impact By
  • Owning Siemens' global strategic relationship with Microsoft and serving as the primary point of contact across the partnership.
  • Building trusted relationships with Microsoft executives, business leaders, product teams, engineering organizations, and field leadership.
  • Defining and executing a multiyear partnership strategy aligned with the priorities of both companies.
  • Identifying high-value opportunities and connecting Microsoft technologies and capabilities with the appropriate Siemens businesses.
  • Leading joint opportunities from concept through commercial structuring, solution development, go-to-market execution, and scaling.
  • Advancing co-innovation and technology integration across Azure, AI, data platforms, industrial edge, cybersecurity, digital twins, developer tools, business applications, and workplace technologies.
  • Delivering executive-ready updates on partnership progress, risks, decisions, investments, and outcomes.
Basic Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, alliances, business development, corporate development, platform strategy, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling complex partnerships with major global technology companies.
  • Experience working with cloud, enterprise software, AI, data, cybersecurity, or digital-transformation platforms.
  • Experience operating effectively within large, global, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong executive communication, negotiation, stakeholder-management, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or another relevant advanced degree.
  • Experience in industrial technology, infrastructure, enterprise software, digital transformation, or applied AI.
  • Technical and commercial fluency across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft AI, Fabric, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, GitHub, cybersecurity, digital twins, and edge computing.
  • Experience structuring and scaling global cloud, platform, or enterprise technology alliances.
  • Established relationships within Microsoft or its broader technology ecosystem.

The pay range for this position is $214,000 - $366,000 annually with a target incentive of 25% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
