Full Job Description
A Brief Overview

The Director FP&A is responsible for robust development of analytic and reporting processes that ensures efficient and accurate financial consolidation, analysis and reporting of regional/global results for Hunt Military Housing. This includes the preparation of daily, monthly, and quarterly reports, forecasts and analysis required by leadership. Requires presenting financial data and strategies to Executive Leadership. This position may also coordinate the financial aspects of the annual budgeting and planning processes.

What you will do

  • Leads and facilitates training for planning staff and other departments.
  • Acts as primary data analysis point of contact and resource person for other department heads, superiors, peers, and employees.
  • Provides direction and manages other analysts performing accounting and analytic tasks including, but not limited to performance analysis, budgeting, valuation, and modeling.
  • Manages and completes the aggregation, preparation and reconciliation of various budgets, forecasts and/or valuations. Requires discovering, compiling, and analyzing financial and nonfinancial data.
  • Builds and maintains long-distance relationships with geographically dispersed colleagues and business unit leaders in order to facilitate information gathering in support of consolidated modeling/planning for a decentralized investment holding platform.
  • Initiates, manages, and completes complex analyses, provide sensitivity analysis and data, and make sound recommendations.
  • Works independently to continuously identify opportunities for improvement of complex processes.
  • Develops and communicates relevant financial information on a timely basis to the superiors and other appropriate members of the FP&A team
  • Oversees and creates financial models for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Presents financial data and strategies to senior management and board members.
  • Develops and manages long-term business and financial planning.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting Required and
  • Master's Degree MBA/MS/MAcc Preferred
  • 7-9 years Financial Planning & Analysis experience Required and
  • 4-6 years experience with commercial real estate, property/asset management or private equity. Preferred
  • Requires strong attention to detail, initiative ands an innovative. Highly motivated individual, who has strong quantitative and planning skills and initiative.
  • Strong understanding of forecast techniques and processes
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office applications. Expert in Excel.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills. Able to present insightful analysis and articulate recommendations in a clear and concise manner. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Firm understanding of accounting concepts as they relate to budgeting, corporate financial analysis and/or valuation.
  • Management ability to direct, guide, motivate, and develop staff.
  • Ability to prioritize for self and others, strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Displays teamwork by balancing team and individual responsibilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and industry professionals.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Upon Hire Preferred
  • Certified Corporate FP&A Professional Upon Hire Preferred
