Role Overview:

The Director, Corporate Functions FP&A serves as the senior finance partner and trusted advisor to EA's Corporate Functions, including People Experience, Real Estate, Finance, Legal, and Corporate Development.

Reporting to the Head of Enterprise FP&A and Chief of Staff, you will lead financial planning, forecasting, investment evaluation, and performance accountability across Corporate Functions. As the Director you are responsible for ensuring capital is allocated effectively, investments are aligned to enterprise priorities, and leaders have the insights needed to make informed decisions. Success in this role requires the ability to translate complex financial and operational information into clear recommendations that influence executive decision-making and drive business outcomes.

The role leads and develops an established team of four directs and three shared service finance professionals, and is responsible for building organizational capability, fostering analytical excellence, and strengthening strategic business partnership across the Corporate Functions. This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring three days per week in an EA office.

What You Will Do:
  • Serve as the primary finance partner to Corporate Function executives, providing strategic counsel, financial insights, and decision support.
  • Lead annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning activities across Corporate Functions, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities, planning assumptions, and financial objectives.
  • Drive scenario planning, risk assessment, and sensitivity analysis to support proactive decision-making and effective resource allocation. This work involves complex financial modeling and cross functional collaboration.
  • Provide financial leadership and decision support for significant corporate investments and strategic initiatives, including workplace experience and real estate, people programs, and enterprise capabilities.
  • Partner with business owners to evolve KPI frameworks and performance measures that connect functional investments to business outcomes, ensuring investment performance and value realization are effectively tracked and communicated.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly management reporting, providing clear analysis of performance, key business drivers, financial risks, and opportunities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals, building strong analytical, forecasting, and business partnership capabilities.
  • Drive continuous improvement and financial excellence by leading planning and process enhancements, advancing operational effectiveness, and leveraging technology and AI-enabled solutions to improve planning, reporting, and decision support.
  • Partner with Enterprise FP&A to help establish and scale EA's connected financial planning framework, strengthening planning rigor, consistency, and transparency across Corporate Functions.

What You Bring:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field. MBA, CFA, or CPA is valued
  • Proficiency in Accounting and general GAAP knowledge
  • 5+ years of experience leading, coaching, and developing finance professionals and building an inclusive environment.
  • Experience serving as a finance partner to senior executives and influencing decisions in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Strong executive communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and actionable insights.
  • Advanced financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with hands-on experience using modern ERP and FP&A planning platforms.
  • Experience leveraging AI and technology solutions to improve financial processes, analytics, and decision-making.


Pay Transparency - North America

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$160,700 - $224,700 CAD

* California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. San Francisco) *$182,600 - $276,300 USD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and other incentive programs.

For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and other incentive programs.
