Overview

The Director, Finance is responsible for supporting the E-Commerce team with financial reporting, financial planning, financial analysis, day-to-day financial performance activities, business unit project evaluation and delivery, and long-term strategic initiative evaluation and execution.

What you'll be focusing on:

E-Commerce Financial Support
  • Align financial reporting and scorecard cadence with all business units.
  • Provide analysis, insights, training, and recommendations on financial results to stakeholders, with the goal of improving profitability and spend efficiency.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer on finance processes, results, issues, and KPIs.
  • Ensure financial controls specific to this business unit and its assets are appropriately in place and effectively practiced.
  • Complete business cases for operational initiatives, merchandising programs, and strategic plans.
  • Complete budgets and forecasts aligned with corporate standards.
  • Establish and sustain business accountability for results, including post-analysis of actual results versus expectations.
  • Provide review and analysis support to Shared Services to ensure accuracy, completeness, and efficiency of period-end financial statements.
  • Ensure timely response to stakeholder queries and follow up on issues.
  • Remain knowledgeable and up to date on all areas of the retail grocery industry.
  • Actively support continuous improvement opportunities related to systems and processes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement where employees are encouraged and recognized for generating and implementing innovative ideas.


Lead and develop functional team, drive employee engagement
  • Coach, develop, and empower members within each functional team.
  • Review employee engagement results and develop overall action plans.
  • Create opportunities for skill development and career progression to develop talent.
