Job Summary:

We are seeking a Director Facilities Architecture and Construction as part of our Real Estate & Facilities team with experience in designing functional, efficient, and visually engaging workplace environments. This role is responsible for space planning, technical detailing, coordination with building ownership, contractors, consultants, internal stakeholders, and supporting projects from concept through construction completion in a BPO industry environment.

The ideal candidate can balance business requirements, time sensitive projects, budget, code compliance, workplace strategy, and employee experience to deliver high-performing office spaces.

Responsibilities:

• Developing office design concepts, layouts, and space planning solutions

• Preparing architectural drawings, construction documents, and technical details

• Coordinating with other functions to understand project requirements, budgets, and timelines

• Collaborating with engineers, consultants, contractors, and furniture vendors

• Managing fit-out projects from schematic design through construction completion

• Ensuring compliance with building codes, accessibility standards, and safety regulations

• Conducting site visits, surveys, and construction inspections

• Reviewing shop drawings, material samples, and contractor submissions

• Coordinating workplace functionality, branding, and employee experience requirements

• Assisting with project scheduling, cost control, and procurement coordination

• Resolving design and construction issues during project execution

• Supporting permit submissions and approvals when required

• Preparing presentations, renderings, and client documentation

Partnering closely with IT for technical requirements

• Monitoring project quality to ensure design intent is achieved on site

Skills Requirements:

• 10+ years of relevant experience in office fit-out, workplace design, architecture, facilities design, or construction project coordination.

• Proficiency with CAD and/or Revit required.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and email communication tools required.

• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and general building systems.

• Experience with back up power systems such as generators & UPS batteries.

• Strong space planning, technical documentation, and coordination skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Ability to remain focused and organized in a busy, fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

• On-call availability will be required.

• Willingness & Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 35% as needed.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree required with Masters in Architecture & / or licensed Architect strongly preferred. Degree in architectural design, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field also considered. Candidate is required to use & design in CAD and / or Revit.

Physical Requirements:

Frequently required to stand, reach, bend, sit and/or walk during scheduled shift. Occasionally exert up to 35 lbs. of force to push, pull, lift or otherwise move objects. Must have manual dexterity and visual acuity to safely use necessary tools/equipment.
