Responsibilities

Summary:

To provide a physical plant that will support all other departments in the provision of optimum achievable clinical and environmental services in support of the mission of the Hospitals. This includes the furnishing of heat, light, power, and maintenance services. In addition, it includes planning, designing and constructing improvements to the physical plant and its equipment. Directs the overall operation of the Facilities Engineering Departments (Maintenance for the Sisters of Charity Hospital, Main Street Campus (MSC), Sisters of Charity Hospital, St. Joseph Campus (SJC), and the MSC off-site facilities); Sisters of Charity Hospital & St. Joseph Campus Environmental Services, Switchboard and Parking departments, administers day-to-day operations; participates in the budgeting process; oversees major projects and renovations. Responsible for over 1,100,000 (+) sq. ft. of building space.

EDUCATION

  • Associate's degree in Building Management and Maintenance required
  • B.S. or B.A. Degree preferred


EXPERIENCE

  • Ten (10) years of Facilities/Engineering health care experience with associate's degree
  • Eight (8) years of healthcare experience with BS or BA Degree
  • Three (3) to five (5) years managerial experience required


KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong Leadership and managerial skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skill set
  • CAD software experience preferred
