Full Job Description
The Director of Enterprise Data & Applications Management facilitates University operations by ensuring optimal enterprise data flows. Leading a team of Enterprise Application Support Analysts, the Director is responsible for managing and improving structured, secure, and timely data collection, transformation, integration, storage, and dissemination of information within and between all enterprise applications, processes, and external resources. The Director reports to the Chief Information Officer and works with the network and server support staff, the customer support team, and end users to align information management to current and future decision support needs.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead the Enterprise Applications team to support and maintain the enterprise software suite and third-party applications.
  • Plan, test, and manage database implementation, configuration, security, updates and maintenance of the ERP System (Jenzabar) modules and third-party applications.
  • Manage the development, implementation, and automation of administrative and academic applications that support business processes and service functions across the University.
  • Collaborate with all University departments to define priorities for enterprise application-related projects and initiatives.
  • Lead the Enterprise Systems Steering Committee and other University-wide committees to ensure departmental representation and provide expertise on issues as they relate to enterprise applications.
  • Manage backup, restore, and cloning of databases in test and production environments.
  • Manage and support Business Objects enterprise report-writing tools and environment.
  • Develop and maintain vendor and consultant relationships in support of existing and proposed software services.
  • Serve as Project Manager for all application related implementation, integration, and upgrade projects.
  • Review application release notes, patches and fixes and recommend appropriate action.
  • Coordinate enterprise application troubleshooting efforts to ensure timely resolution of issues and problems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in IT/IS or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to address technical issues with those without technical backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise systems in a multi-platform environment, preferably in a college or university setting.
  • Significant experience maintaining and supporting complex relational database systems, including extensive use of data manipulation and query tools (e.g., SQL.).
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Jenzabar, and content management systems, preferably Salesforce Education Cloud.
  • Technical knowledge of client-server networks, SQL, SQR, SQL Query and Cloud-Based.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex, long-term projects.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
