COMPENSATION:$133,600.00 - $208,750.00
This role requires Associates work from a North American Hub Location: Vancouver, WA | Los Angeles, CAWhy This Role Matters:The Director, Data Operations & Delivery enables effective execution of the Data & AI organization's priorities by bringing together program and project management, operational excellence, portfolio management, organizational metrics, and executive communications.
This role partners closely with Data & AI leadership to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, establish consistent ways of working, improve operational effectiveness, and provide visibility into progress, risks, and business impact. The role leads a team of program/project management and communications professionals and works across a complex, global, matrixed organization to drive alignment and execution.
You Will:Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness- Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
- Lead, develop, and inspire a team responsible for program/project management, delivery, organizational metrics, and communications.
- Translate Data & AI priorities into actionable operating plans, objectives, and execution roadmaps.
- Establish effective operating rhythms, governance, and accountability across the organization.
- Partner with Data & AI leadership to advance organizational priorities and identify opportunities to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and ways of working.
Data Operations, Portfolio & Delivery- Establish scalable processes, standards, and ways of working that improve the efficiency and consistency of Data & AI operations.
- Define operational data management and service management practices, including processes, controls, performance measures, and issue management.
- Partner with Data & AI leadership to maintain a portfolio aligned to enterprise strategy and business priorities.
- Provide visibility into portfolio health, priorities, progress, risks, dependencies, and resource needs through dashboards, metrics, and regular leadership updates.
- Coordinate delivery of high-priority strategic initiatives, ensuring clear objectives, milestones, owners, and measures of success.
- Identify delivery risks, dependencies, and resource constraints and facilitate resolution across teams.
- Promote consistent program and project management practices across the Data & AI organization.
- Support prioritization and trade-off decisions by providing leaders with clear data and insights on capacity, timing, investment, and expected outcomes.
Organizational Metrics & Executive Communications- Develop and maintain organizational metrics, dashboards, and reporting that measure progress against strategic priorities, operational performance, and business outcomes.
- Analyze trends and performance information to identify opportunities, risks, and areas requiring leadership attention.
- Develop executive presentations, business reviews, leadership updates, and organizational communications.
- Translate complex data, technology, and delivery information into clear, concise messages for senior leaders and broader stakeholders.
- Communicate organizational priorities, accomplishments, challenges, and business impact.
- Facilitate leadership decision-making by bringing together critical stakeholders, information, and recommendations.
Cross-Functional Partnership- Build strong relationships across Data & AI, Technology, business units, corporate functions, and other enterprise stakeholders.
- Connect teams and initiatives to improve alignment, transparency, and execution.
- Influence outcomes across organizational boundaries and help resolve issues that span multiple teams.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and results.
Your Experience Should Include:- Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related fields
- 7+ years of progressive experience in program management, operations, strategy execution, data/technology delivery, organizational effectiveness, or a related discipline.
- Experience implementing scalable team processes.
- Experience building executive communications.
- Experience building business and technology strategy plans.
- Experience managing complex, cross-functional programs or portfolios within a large, matrixed organization.
- Experience leading and developing teams, with the ability to influence effectively across organizational boundaries.
- Familiarity with data and technology environments and the ability to translate between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience developing operating processes, governance, metrics, and reporting mechanisms.
- Strong executive communication, presentation, analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, navigate ambiguity, and drive execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working across global teams and diverse stakeholder groups preferred.
Salary Range: $134,200-$209,688
Compensation is determined based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, location, and market competitiveness.
