About the role

In this leadership role, you will shape and execute the analytics strategy for our Life Division, partnering closely with business and technology leaders to transform data into actionable insights that drive growth, enhance customer experiences, and improve business outcomes. This role is ideal for a leader who combines technical expertise with business acumen and enjoys influencing decisions at all levels of the organization.

What You will Do

• Business Partnership & Strategic Analytics
• Build trusted relationships with business leaders and cross-functional partners, developing a deep understanding of their priorities, challenges, and decision-making needs.
• Translate complex business questions into analytical hypotheses, measurable outcomes, and actionable data-driven solutions.
• Own a portfolio of high-impact analytics and data science initiatives, prioritizing work based on business value, feasibility, and strategic importance.
• Advanced Analytics & Insights
• Lead end-to-end analytical projects, including data sourcing, exploration, visualization, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, implementation, and performance measurement.
• Deliver practical, scalable, and business-focused analytical solutions in partnership with the broader Data & Analytics organization.
• Apply advanced analytical techniques and data science methodologies to uncover insights, solve business challenges, and identify new opportunities.
• Communication & Influence
• Communicate analytical findings in a clear, practical, and compelling manner for executive, business, and technical audiences.
• Translate complex data and technical concepts into actionable recommendations that drive informed decision-making and measurable business outcomes.
• Technical Leadership & Continuous Learning
• Provide technical leadership, review analytical work, and mentor data scientists and analysts to promote high-quality, consistent outcomes.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and analytical excellence across the organization.
• Maintain current knowledge of the life insurance industry, emerging analytical methods, AI and machine learning capabilities, and relevant market trends

Compensation

Salary Range: $155,800 - $259,600,400 plus eligibility for annual bonus program

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. High School Diploma required.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in analytics, data science, statistical modeling, or decision science.
• A strategic data and analytics leader with a proven track record of translating business challenges into data-driven solutions.
• Skilled at executive communication, data visualization, analytical storytelling, facilitation, and cross-functional partnership skills.
• Demonstrated experience leading analytical initiatives from problem definition through implementation, adoption, and measurement.
• A collaborative influencer who builds strong partnerships across business and technology teams and communicates effectively with senior leaders and executives.
• Skilled at balancing long-term strategy with execution, driving initiatives from concept through implementation and measurable results.
• Extensive experience applying statistical modeling, machine learning, forecasting, segmentation, experimentation, or optimization to complex business problems.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, R, SQL, or comparable analytical programming languages.
• Passionate about innovation and continuous improvement, with the ability to lead organizations through change.
• Experience in life insurance or financial services preferred.
• Experience with Snowflake and/or DBT preferred.
• Ability to travel periodically to meet the needs of the business.
