  • Identifying and evaluating growth opportunities across core segments, adjacent markets, and emerging ecosystems.
  • Building and managing an M&A pipeline in partnership with business leaders, RELX Corporate Finance, and Risk M&A teams.
  • Leading strategic initiatives related to market entry, commercial strategy, portfolio prioritization, partnerships, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Developing a data- and relationship-driven understanding of customer workflows, unmet needs, market size, competitive positioning, and business models.
  • Leading competitive and ecosystem analysis to identify disruption risks, partnership opportunities, and sources of sustainable differentiation.
  • Ensuring strategic plans are grounded in market intelligence, customer insights, and an understanding of segment drivers and barriers.
  • Monitoring market, technology, and other relevant trends to assess business opportunities, risks, and potential impact.
  • Performing all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Five or more years of experience in corporate strategy, investment banking, market research, M&A diligence, product planning, business planning, or corporate mergers and acquisitions.
  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Experience in a top-tier consulting or M&A advisory firm preferred.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree from a leading university preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly assess complex, unstructured situations and apply appropriate frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive decisions strategically, analytically, and thoughtfully while balancing multiple initiatives.
  • Proven success building cross-functional alignment despite competing opinions, demands, and priorities.
  • Collaborative, pragmatic, and outcomes-driven approach with a strong bias toward action and execution.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to adapt to different audiences and operate effectively across organizational levels and functions.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize based on leadership direction.
  • Experience in M&A, strategic alliances, and detailed commercial negotiations.
