Full Job Description
Point B is seeking a Senior Leader with deep expertise in redesigning and improving operations through the application of automation, artificial intelligence, and data-driven technologies within the Life Sciences industry to build, grow, and lead the delivery of client engagements, deepen executive access and relationships, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients seeking to accelerate their transformation and patient outcomes. This leader will serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, helping clients reimagine operations through integration of progress redesign, automation, AI, and data-driven technologies.
This leader will sit at the intersection of commercial growth, strategic advisory, and subject matter expertise, helping clients transform how they operate across R&D, clinical development, and adjacent functions. A key focus area will include advancing modern approaches to operational acceleration - including clinical trial execution specifically and the R&D-to-Commercial value chain more broadly - to enable sponsors to streamline their operating models, take greater ownership of people, process, technology, and data, and unlock measurable improvements in speed, quality, and cost efficiency.
The ideal candidate is a credible enterprise operations transformation leader with deep experience leading large-scale, cross-functional transformations through the application of automation, artificial intelligent, and data-driven technologies - someone who has led and delivered end-to-end operational transformation initiatives that improve efficiency, quality, and scalability of operations across functions such as clinical development, regulatory, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial operations for clients within life sciences, and who can engage as a trusted peer with client technology, business and transformation leaders - with the ability to shape operating model strategy and drive execution at scale, strong executive presence, life sciences domain expertise, and a track record of driving offerings and team development. They are passionate about the role automation, AI, and data-driven decision-making play in enabling enterprise-wide operational transformation and sustained performance improvement to deliver faster innovation and better patient outcomes.
As a Senior Leader at Point B, you will contribute to building and maturing the Intelligent Operations practice within the Life Sciences vertical, including establishing delivery standards, developing offerings, growing the expertise of the team, and driving coherence across how Point B delivers complex transformation work to clients. You will also deliver high-impact work alongside clients, develop and mentor others, and grow a portfolio of business through credibility-first engagement, thought leadership, solution development, and cultivation of new and existing client relationships.

Responsibilities Overview

Client Portfolio Development
Build, grow, and manage a portfolio of strategic client relationships across the life sciences industry, with emphasis on large pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations
Originate, convert, and expand new business opportunities, driving revenue growth aligned to practice and firm targets
Serve as a senior trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, shaping strategy and guiding transformation initiatives
Lead large, complex consulting engagements, ensuring delivery of high-quality, executive-ready outcomes
Translate client challenges into actionable solutions with measurable business impact
Collaborate with Industry and Service Line leadership to develop and close opportunities, including proposal development, solution development, and pricing strategy
Develop and maintain a strong executive network across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and broader life sciences organizations

Growth, Offering, and Go-to-Market Strategy
Shape and evolve Point B's life sciences value proposition, including Clinical Trial Acceleration, Commercial Model Innovation, and adjacent offerings
In collaboration with Service Lines, define and refine service offerings and portfolio strategies aligned to market demand and growth objectives
Develop and execute integrated go-to-market strategies spanning segmentation, targeting, positioning, and messaging
Design and implement commercialization strategies that improve client acquisition, expansion, and retention
Leverage data-driven insights to inform market strategy, customer segmentation, and offering development

Intelligent Operations Practice Development
Help shape and evolve the automation, AI, and data-driven operational transformation offering portfolio for life sciences clients, spanning process redesign, workflow automation, AI-enabled decisioning, and operating model transformation across R&D and commercial functions
Contribute to and uphold delivery standards, methodologies, and quality benchmarks for Intelligent Operations engagements in the life sciences context, ensuring Point B's approach is defensible, repeatable, and differentiated
Build and codify reusable assets including automation and AI solution accelerators, process and operating model frameworks, implementation playbooks, and operational transformation point-of-view documents tailored to life sciences use cases
Drive coherence across how the team scopes, prices, staffs, and delivers operations transformation work - elevating overall quality and consistency of Intelligent Operations engagements
Contribute to firm-wide automation, AI, and operational transformation intellectual capital and represent the Life Sciences perspective in service line capability development and strategic planning

Subject Matter Expertise and Thought Leadership
Provide deep domain expertise across multiple industry domains, with strength in clinical development and R&D more broadly
Advise executive stakeholders - including CFOs, COOs, and CSCOs - at the intersection of operations and life sciences strategy, including process redesign, automation, AI deployment and adoptions, operational workflows, clinical technology ecosystems, and operating model transformation
Develop and publish perspectives on how automation, AI, and data-driven decision making are reshaping clinical operations, R&D productivity, and commercial execution in pharma and biotech; represent Point B in the market through thought leadership, client presentations, and industry forums to enhance brand presence and generate demand

People Development and Mentorship
Develop, mentor, and coach team members, with deliberate focus on building operations transformation competency - including depth in process redesign, automation, AI, and data-driven operations - alongside consulting capabilities, life sciences domain expertise, and business development skills
Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight to teams, ensuring quality delivery and professional development
Contribute to building a strong, collaborative team culture aligned with Point B values
Support talent development activities including recruiting, onboarding, and performance management
