Position Details:

  • Weekend Work: Occasional | On Call: no | Remote: Hybrid


Director of Community Benefit Summary:

  • Provides strategic leadership for BayCare's Community Benefit program, overseeing the planning, development, implementation, evaluation, and reporting of initiatives that advance health equity and improve community health outcomes.
  • This role leads Community Benefit staff and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to execute Community Health Needs Assessments and implementation plans while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accurate Community Benefit reporting.
  • Leading and participating on internal and external committees, the Director guides systemwide strategies related to the social determinants of health, community engagement, and volunteerism.
  • The position also provides operational leadership for BayCare's community health programs and outreach activities, including mobile medical units, screening events, and community-based initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and measurable community impact.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Required Education - Masters degree in Social Work, Nursing, Healthcare Management, Public Health or Related Field.
  • Required Experience - 8 years of Community Benefit, Community Health or related (public) health program experience and 5 years management experience.
  • Preferred Certification - Certified Public Health (CPH)

About Baycare

BayCare Ballpark is a baseball stadium located in Clearwater, Florida, in the United States. The stadium was built in 2004 and has a maximum seating capacity of 8,500 people. The ballpark is the spring training home of the Philadelphia Phillies, and also the home of their Class A affiliate, the Clearwater Threshers of the Florida State League. A sculpture titled The Ace—by artist Kevin Brady—stands at the ballpark's west entrance plaza.
