Position SummaryOversees day- to-day business and operational affairs of the Department's Outpatient Clinical Activities
Job DescriptionPrimary Duties & Responsibilities: - Monitors all outpatient clinical practice activities. Oversight of day to day clinical operations. Direct administration of Specialty Practice.
- Central contact for all clinical activities of the Department to include Washington University Physicians Network (WUPN) and Faculty Practice Plan (FPP) Activities.
- Plans and implements transition to Ambulatory Care Center. Helps assign space by practice volumes and financial projections. Designs space with architect. Responsible with Divisions for transfer of practices to Ambulatory Care Center.
- Analyzes all revenue generating activities to ensure appropriate capture of services and accounting of revenue and expenses.
- Provides management oversight of all financial accounts related to clinical operations. Develops financial reports that provide for Department Administrative review.
- Assists with the development and implementation of strategic, business and marketing plans for Departments Clinical operation.
- Oversees operations of all clinical activities to include maintaining and enhancing existing services and development of new opportunities.
- Performs feasibility studies for specific projects. Performs detail financial analysis as required in order to assure fiscal integrity of each of these activities. Specific "Clinical Improvement" projects for implementation as listed: Patient Scheduling; Transcription; Patient Flow; Prescription; Call Messaging.
- Reviews operational support staff structures and makes recommendations for enhancement and efficiency opportunities. Assists in developing staffing plans as appropriate.
- In conjunction with the Chair and Associate Chair develops, implements and maintains appropriate policies and procedures to ensure efficiency in the Department's Clinical Operations. Reviews and provides revisions or updates as necessary.
- Identifies needs and develops staff training activities for Department's Clinical Outpatient Operations Staff.
- Develops and implements measurements/benchmarks for Clinical Performance.

Salary Range$84,200.00 - $148,500.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
