Position Summary:Responsible for McLaren Flint's Cardiology Services operations; maintaining and monitoring quality, patient satisfaction, annual business planning (including budgeting, staffing, marketing and new business development), facilitation of physician integration and or affiliation, operational efficiencies and coordination of interactions with other clinical service areas. Ensures that all Cardiology Services operations are functional and provide patient care in the most appropriate, efficient and effective manner. Establishes goals and identifies benchmarks for outcomes evaluation to produce a "gold standard" cardiology program. These departments and services include Cardio Vascular Care Unit, Cardiac Cath Lab, EKG, Cardiac Non-Invasive, Heart And Vascular Administration, and Heart and Vascular Research.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:- Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the McLaren Health Care/Affiliate vision, mission, and values.
- Develops department goals, forecasts, objectives, information system needs, budgets and, identifies benchmark targets.
- Develops and recommends department operating budgets and ensures that department operates within budget.
- Directs preparation and maintenance of department reports. Prepares periodic reports for Executive Leadership, as required.
- Works with the Medical Directors and Vice President of Business Development and Clinical Services to expand the Medical Center's Cardiology market share.
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Health Care Administration.
• Five (5) years leadership/management experience in healthcare environment.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Business, Health Care Administration or Nursing Administration.
