Position Summary...
We're looking for an exceptional Director of Business Strategy to serve as the operational leader for our organization.

This role will build the systems, processes, and the operating model that enable a small, high-performing team to deliver outsized business impact. As a trusted partner and advisor to the Vice President, you will help set priorities, improve execution, create organizational clarity, and ensure our team is focused on the work that matters most to the business.

You will operate as both a strategic leader and an exceptional operator-building the foundation that allows our team to do their best work.

What you'll do...
  • Lead the operating model for the organization
    • Design and continuously improve how the organization operates.
    • Own portfolio management, intake, prioritization, resource planning, and governance.
    • Create scalable operating rhythms that improve visibility, accountability, and execution.
    • Continuously identify opportunities to simplify processes and increase organizational effectiveness.

    Build organizational capability
    • Develop systems that make knowledge easy to capture, share, and reuse.
    • Create and maintain playbooks, templates, case studies, best practices, contracts, and team resources.
    • Establish consistent standards for documentation, reporting, and project management.
    • Help create an organization that learns from every engagement.

Serve as a strategic partner to the Vice President
    • Act as a trusted advisor on organizational priorities, execution, and operational health.
    • Represent the Vice President in meetings and cross-functional forums when appropriate.
    • Help prepare executive presentations, business reviews, leadership updates, and strategic planning materials.
    • Drive follow-through on key decisions and organizational commitments.

    Enable data-driven decision making
    • Develop executive reporting that provides meaningful insights into portfolio health, team capacity, delivery, and business impact.
    • Build financial models that estimate the impact of experience improvements, operational efficiencies, revenue opportunities, cost savings, and member outcomes.
    • Ensure business value is incorporated into portfolio prioritization, helping leaders make informed investment decisions based on strategic alignment, customer impact, and financial return.
    • Support leadership in evaluating tradeoffs across competing initiatives through data-driven analysis and scenario modeling.
    • Measure and communicate the realized impact of strategic initiatives, creating feedback loops that improve future investment decisions.

    Drive strategic execution
    • Partner with leaders across Experience Strategy & Innovation to develop business cases for strategic initiatives by quantifying member, operational, and financial value and ensure our most important initiatives are aligned to the business strategy.
    • Anticipate risks, remove obstacles, and keep strategic work moving forward.
    • Ensure leadership has clear visibility into progress, dependencies, decisions, and outcomes.
  • What you'll bring:

  • Extensive experience leading complex programs, business operations, strategy, or transformation initiatives.

  • Deep understanding and ability to articulate how experience creates business impact.

  • Demonstrated success building operating models for high-performing organizations.

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders across multiple functions.

  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and organizational leadership skills.

  • Experience navigating ambiguity while bringing structure and clarity.

  • Strong business judgment with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational execution.

  • A builder's mindset-you enjoy creating systems that enable teams to perform at their highest level.

  • A collaborative leadership style with a passion for developing others and making teams more effective.

Preferred Qualifications
