Full Job Description
Position Summary: The Director of Business Development and Alliance Management will lead strategic initiatives to identify, evaluate, and secure partnerships that accelerate Terray's pipeline and platform capabilities and actively manage existing and future collaborations. This role combines business development expertise and alliance management to shape corporate strategy and maintain a competitive edge in the evolving biotech landscape.

The core responsibilities of this position are:

  • Proactively identify and evaluate strategic growth opportunities through potential collaboration partnerships that align with Terray's pipeline, platform, and corporate objectives.
  • Develop competitive intelligence and partnering materials with leadership to position Terray's platform including models and assets.
  • Research and prepare deal comps to share with executive management and contribute to the development of materials for board of directors.
  • Participate in and, as appropriate, lead deal structuring, negotiation, and execution, ensuring alignment with Terray's long-term strategic and financial goals.
  • Lead due diligence activities and serve as point of contact internally and externally.
  • Coordinate the execution of strategic initiatives, by developing and tracking implementation plans, ensuring focus and discipline to achieve organizational goals.
  • Oversee alliance management activities, ensuring effective communication, issue resolution, and achievement of partnership objectives.
  • Serve as a key point of escalation and problem-solving for partnership challenges, working cross-functionally to drive successful outcomes.
  • Partner with internal teams such as R&D, Finance, and Legal to ensure aligned execution and value realization across collaborations.
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders and external organizations to ensure effective governance, seamless execution, and strategic alignment across a dynamic portfolio of partnerships.
  • Represent Terray at industry conferences, and strategic forums, and provide concise summaries of key insights to the organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, lean biotech environment.


Compensation Details: $213,000-$277,150 annually, depending on experience plus a structured bonus plan. Terray's salary ranges are designed to be competitive and are benchmarked against market base salary plus bonus within our industry and market. We align pay to role scope, skill level, and impact.
