Director, Bank Relationship Management - Midwest

About your role:

As a Director of Relationship Management at Fiserv, you will lead a team of Relationship Managers supporting a portfolio of financial institution clients. You will work across sales, product, solution consulting, and leadership teams to strengthen client partnerships, drive retention and revenue growth, and improve the overall client experience. Your leadership will help align client business objectives with Fiserv solutions while building a high-performing team and advancing strategic portfolio outcomes.

What you'll do:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Relationship Managers responsible for client retention, revenue growth, contract renewals, and customer satisfaction across an assigned portfolio.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and development support to strengthen team capability and readiness for future leadership opportunities.
  • Partner with Relationship Managers and internal stakeholders to strengthen executive-level client relationships, address complex business needs, and support strategic account planning.
  • Serve as an escalation point for critical client issues and drive timely resolution through collaboration with cross-functional partners.
  • Drive achievement of portfolio goals related to revenue growth, retention, renewals, and customer satisfaction through effective account planning and pipeline oversight.
  • Support contract negotiation and renewal strategies for key client relationships in partnership with sales, product, and solution consulting teams.
  • Monitor team and portfolio performance using defined metrics to identify risks, improve processes, and enhance the client experience.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders on business strategy, workforce planning, and initiatives that strengthen relationship management practices across the organization.

Experience you'll need to have:
  • 8+ years of experience in relationship management, account management, sales, banking, financial services, or financial technology with responsibility for client retention, revenue growth, and strategic account oversight.
  • 3+ years of experience managing and developing teams, including performance management, coaching, mentoring, and talent development.
  • 8+ years of experience leading complex business discussions with executive stakeholders and managing strategic client relationships within financial institutions or related markets.
  • Experience supporting contract negotiations, renewal strategies, and consultative selling activities across a portfolio of clients.
  • Ability to analyze portfolio performance, interpret business trends, and use data to identify risks, opportunities, and action plans.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through verbal, written, presentation, and executive-level communication across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:
  • Experience leading relationship management or account management teams in the financial services or financial technology industry.
  • Knowledge of core banking platforms and financial institution operations.
  • Experience supporting community and regional financial institutions.
  • Experience using customer relationship management systems such as Salesforce or similar enterprise platforms.

How you'll work:
  • This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.

Travel: This role require frequent travel (25%+).

Salary Range
$82,700.00-$129,300.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in Minnesota. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
