Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the vision, strategy, planning, public profile, impact and operations of Carleton's art gallery

Qualifications:

The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:
• Knowledge of leadership practices in people management, strategic planning and risk management, policy development, financial management and stakeholder relationship management
• Knowledge of Canadian and international art, historic and contemporary
• Knowledge of best practices in public and educational programming
• Knowledge of funding models and fundraising from public and private sources
• Knowledge of marketing and communications planning and execution

Education and Experience:

The above is normally acquired through the completion of:
• Completion of a graduate level degree in art history or a related discipline
• Minimum of four years of previous experience in the direction, leadership and operations of a public art gallery
