Actuarial Directorto join our growing team!
The Actuarial Director will lead complex actuarial engagements, guide strategic client initiatives, and shape the development of innovative actuarial tools and solutions. In this senior role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to large employers, insurers, providers, and care solution organizations, delivering high-impact insights that influence financial strategy, product design, pricing, and risk management.
How You Will Contribute:Client Leadership & Strategic Advisory- Lead client relationships, serving as the primary actuarial advisor on complex healthcare initiatives.
- Translate analytical findings into strategic recommendations for executive-level stakeholders.
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality, timely, and actionable client deliverables.
Technical & Analytical Leadership- Direct the design, execution, and peer review of advanced actuarial analyses, ensuring adherence to professional standards.
- Lead development of assumptions, methodologies, and models for pricing, reserving, forecasting, and program evaluation.
- Oversee the creation of scalable, dynamic actuarial models and analytical tools.
Practice & Team Development- Mentor, coach, and develop junior and mid-level actuarial staff.
- Partner with actuarial leadership to drive practice development initiatives.
- Foster strong cross-functional collaboration across RSC teams.
Innovation & Market Expertise- Evaluate emerging healthcare trends, funding arrangements, and care delivery models.
- Lead actuarial components of innovative product design, network optimization, and care management evaluation.
Skills & Experience to be Successful:- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, data science, economics, or related field.
- FSA strongly preferred; ASA with significant senior-level experience considered.
- 12+ years of healthcare actuarial experience across areas such as commercial healthcare, stop-loss, H&W consulting, care management evaluation, reserving, pricing, pharmacy/PBM analytics, alternative funding, actuarial model development, and healthcare data sources.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, SAS, VBA, R, or Python.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex actuarial concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, and client-facing experience.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive initiatives forward.

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
