Job Description:

Supervises and directs finance personnel to ensure accurate and timely information is produced to support decision-making. Prepares and analyzes financial reports summarizing and forecasting business activity and financial position in areas of income, expense, and earnings. Communicates results and high-level analysis of financial statements to senior finance executives. Provides strategic direction and support for balance sheet and capital allocation modeling and forecasting. Establishes standards and represents finance in committees, councils, and working groups as requested. Prioritizes routine reporting with special projects and manages to established deadlines. Produces presentations for Chief Financial Officer and other executive team members as requested. Implements policies and procedures for efficient operation of finance functions. Collaborates with internal and external auditors and consultants for efficient completion of financial and regulatory audits or surveys. Coordinates annual budget preparation, including expense allocations and technical reviews. Assists facility finance/accounting personnel in interpreting financial and statistical reports. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and double-entry accounting. [Required]
  • Operational understanding of routine accounting functions. [Required]
  • Proficiency in MSOffice applications with extensive knowledge of spreadsheet analysis tools. [Required]
  • Understanding of healthcare finance operating and key indicators. [Required]
  • Possess above average analytical skills. [Required]
  • Ability to shift attention and concentration quickly and effectively between simultaneous projects. [Required]

Work Experience:
  • 2+ of accounting or finance experience in healthcare is strongly preferred. [Preferred]
