Overview

The Director, HR Compliance, oversees the processes and reporting required by local, regional, Federal, and regulatory agency regulations, including I9 completion, immigration process, verification of licensure, certification, and registration, biennial background checks on all employees and volunteers, and EEO and affirmative action plans. The Director, HR Compliance, guides the non-employee process. Oversees the Out-of-Region Remote Worker process. Liaison with outside counsel handling affirmative action plans and OFCCP requirements. Design protocols for HR-related audits and ongoing compliance reviews. Stay abreast of developments in labor and employment regulations. Identify policy and practice enhancements to meet rules and regulations. This position acts as a resource and works independently with the EVPs, Vice Presidents, division, and department directors on HR Compliance, Regulatory Readiness, Education, and other HR leaders to review business processes and make recommendations to increase efficiency and ensure compliance. Leads the HR Compliance Readiness Team (HR-CRT) and is a member of other compliance committees or teams. Acts as a subject matter expert on HR compliance and integration of regulatory standards within Human Resources. The Director, HR Compliance, oversees special projects related to HR Compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources related area of focus and
    • 7 or more years combined compliance and HR experience required
  • Demonstrated successful project leadership preferred
  • SHRM-S-CP/CP or SPHR/PHR preferred
