The Role
Job Description:
Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

Must Have
Apprentice Certification, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 10 years of applicable, progressive technical, professional and/or supervisory work experience. A candidate must have a thorough understanding of construction, manufacturing processes, and operations.
Nice to Have
Position requires hull structural and steel outfitting project management and technical shipfitting background. • Must be familiar with process and procedures related to field, must have experience in Steel Shop manufacturing, unit steel construction and ship grand block erection. • Must have experience with planning, controlling and execution of ship pre-assembly schedule. • Requires experience in manpower planning, skill mix management and multiple cost center and work station control management. Successful candidate must be proficient in EVMS, and have experience as a CAM of multiple cost centers within hull department processes. • Candidate must be proficient in the collective bargaining agreement. Position requires broad experience across all classes of ships currently being constructed.
